What is IWOPS IV?

IWOPS IV is the 4th International Workshop on Participatory Surveillance hosted by Ending Pandemics. The first IWOPS event was conceived in 2012 to bring practitioners of this novel approach together to share best practices, inspire new ideas, and build a “community of practice.” The workshop October 31-November 3, 2022 in Cambodia will be the fourth in the series, with the major focus on establishing Participatory Disease Surveillance as a standard of practice for disease prevention and control across human, animal and environmental health, i.e., One Health.

Who Should Attend?

IWOPS IV is intended for those invested in the successful application and further spread of participatory surveillance as an innovative approach to disease prevention and control. Attendees may include epidemiologists, researchers, academics, government officials, philanthropists, representatives from community organizations, and technologists.

The workshop will be limited to 150 people and requires all interested people to submit an application to attend. A selection process will be used to uphold Ending Pandemics’ values of equity, diversity and inclusivity.

How to Attend

The application process opened March 14, 2022 and closed on April 15, 2022. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by May 16, 2022 and asked to confirm planned attendance and complete the registration process.
